A brief history

Planet Oxygene was first online back in late 96 - early 97. Our goal then was to produce a different type of Jarre Website, not worry about the latest news and have to be the first to air an article, but just to do what we could to show the rest of the world how we felt for Jean-Michel Jarre and hopefully be informative and entertaining on the way.

However, due to personal issues I closed Planet Oxygene down in mid 98 and that was the end of it - until now. I now feel it is the time to bring Planet Oxygene back, now that Internet technology has expanded I feel I can bring more unique features to the Website.

The Website as it stands now is only 50% of what I aim for it to become - there is allot of work to do and this will all take time but I will put the same enthusiasm into the new Planet Oxygene V2 as I did the old, and hope that it becomes somewhere you will enjoy to visit and participate in.

None of this could be possible if it wasn't for some very important people to me, so i'd like to thank them in turn:

First of all my beautiful wife, Jerilyn, thank you for everything, you are everything to me sweetheart and I love you more than you could possibly know.

To Jim and Sue, thank you both for believing in me, you are both very special friends to me.

To Noel, Nick and Rob, you are all crazy but that's why I love you guys :-)

To my friend Carl Stanley, can't wait to see you again in the future.

And to my parents, brother and sister-in-law, see you soon :-)

And finally, phew, to you for visiting my little place on the Internet and I hope that I can make Planet Oxygene V2 a place for all Jarre fans - and for those people who just want to relax and not worry about being antagonised - which happens on some websites, just be yourselves and believe in who you are and, most importantly, don't try to be like anyone else, you are unique.
