You don't say?

During Jean-Michel`s 1990 concert (Paris La Defense), both his son and his daughter helped out with the design and running of the event. Emily painted some of the pictures that were used during the event and Barnaby helped as a production assistant - translating scripts for the British technicians. Oh, and lets not forget that unforgettable moment when Charlotte tilts her head back after taking a photo during Calypso Part 1 (Great shot that hey Mark? :)

Calypso Part 1 was used during the Bridgewater Carnival (1990/1991?) and went down very well. Calypso is named after Jacques Cousteau's boat. Jacques sadly passed away during 1997 and he was a close friend of Jean-Michel's - infact Jean-Michel was one of the first people to sign a petition of the famous environmentalist.

Back in the early 1980's, Oxygene Part IV was used as the title music for the UK TV program Where There`s Life. This was a very successful series and it gave much publicity to Jean-Michel. Infact, that was the first time I had heard a piece of music by Jean-Michel Jarre (Though at the time I didn`t know who he was, that was to be left until 1987).

Jean-Michels very first single, La Cage (1971 - though it was recorded in 1969) sold only 17 copies. Jean-Michel has been stated as saying that he has lost his own copy of it and it has been rumored that he has said he would pay for a copy. It is a 2 Track 7" single (Despite many people believing it is either an album or a 4 track single) and Jean Pierre Monleau has a credit for drumming on La Cage. La Cage is three and a quarter minutes long and Erosmachine is three minutes long. It is now a very sought after item and a couple of collectors in the UK do have copies - if you have a copy then I WANT IT :)
